It was a perfect (yet warm) fall day, and we thoroughly enjoyed partnering with the NC Native Plant Society at the NC State Fair Saturday! Many thanks to Jackie Trickel for inviting us to share a booth with them next to their beautiful permanent native plants garden on the fairgrounds. We had a steady stream of visitors of all ages. The kids enjoyed the hands-on pollinator activities, and the adults showed a lot of interest in the informational handouts and native seed packages to plant at home. Thanks to our many volunteers today, including, Chad, Bonnie, Bob, Regan, Bill, Dave, Cissy, and Jeff, who made our visitors feel very welcome. Plus a special shout out to Bonnie, who gave a great presentation that morning on native plants, which was prepared by the NC Native Plant Society. Partnership at its best! We hope to do more of this in the future.
