Audience attending the event

We had a fun and very interactive meeting at Bass Lake Park June 1 all about snakes in Wake County (and beyond), with 20 people in person and 100 people registered online from eight states for the simultaneous webcast. If you were not able to join, please check out the video recording here.

These in-person and webcast hybrid meetings with a guest speaker are held quarterly at 7 PM at Bass Lake Park and concurrently on Zoom on the first Thursday each quarter in Mar., June, Sept., and Dec. In addition, we also hold webinars quarterly on the first Thursday in Feb., May, Aug., and Nov. Upcoming presentations:

  • Our next webinar on Zoom will be on Aug. 3 and will feature C.C. King of the NC Wildlife Federation, who will speak about the new “Bird Atlas of North Carolina” that they are developing.
  • Our next meeting at Bass Lake Park on Sept. 7 will feature Jerry Reynolds of the NC Museum of Natural History, who will talk about “Backyard Habitats.”

Keep an eye out for additional activities and workdays, as we work together to support wildlife and habitat, and we hope to see you again soon!
