  • Tuesday, December 5th, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve
  • 2616 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC 27518

Do invasive plants drive you crazy?! Join us at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve as we take out our frustration on Japanese honeysuckle. Invasive plants, such as Japanese honeysuckle, create a host of environmental problems, including but not limited to, decreased plant diversity, increased soil erosion, degraded habitat, and diminished water quality. You will be amazed at how much land can be reclaimed for native species in just a couple of hours!

Please come equipped with long-sleeved clothes and a full water bottle. Tools will be provided at the start.  A link to an electronic waiver will be available in the confirmation email after registering. Please submit your completed electronic waiver online in advance or be prepared to sign a paper waiver when you arrive. Ages 16 and up are welcome to volunteer. Anyone age 16 or 17 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver.
