On December 7, 2023 the South Wake Conservationists, North Carolina Wildlife Federation (NCWF), North Carolina Pollinator Conservation Alliance (NCPCA) and Crowder County Park officials teamed up to create a new pollinator garden at the park! The group found a home for 49 pollinator plants and shrubs that prefer partial shade locations. The NCPCA was founded in 2017 and has representatives from twenty conservation-minded organizations. Its mission is to support the health and diversity of pollinators in North Carolina through protection, restoration and creation of pollinator habitat! NCWF is one of its founders!
