Over the past few years, the North Carolina Wildlife Federation and South Wake Conservationists have beautified the North Carolina Art Park by adding hundreds of native trees, shrubs and native wildflowers. They were even considered a very competitive entry in the Sir Walter Raleigh Award for beautifying Raleigh! On March 8, 2024 they added to their contributions by adding over 50 native plants and shrubs. They teamed up with four employees from Truist Bank and Art Park employees to accomplish their goal!
