Be sure to register for this one and join us Sunday afternoon at Sugg Farm! This is a very special wildlife tour by our own Courtney Rousseau, and the purple martin colony at Sugg Farm is very active and fun to watch. Learn all about purple martins from Courtney, who is also president of the NC Purple Martin Society.

The South Wake Conservationists invite you to join us on Sunday, May 19th, 2024 at 1:30 p.m. as we visit the Sugg Farm Purple Martin colony site. Courtney Rousseau, founder and current president of the North Carolina Purple Martin Society (NCPMS) will be our guide. She will share the history of the colony site, the martins’ life cycle, and perform a nest check. We will be visiting just in time to hopefully see some new nestlings!

Sugg Farm is located at 2401 Grigsby Avenue, Holly Springs, NC 27540. We will meet at the end of the paved road. Attendees will have to park near the bathrooms/dog park on the left or in the open field on the right side of the road. Please dress accordingly for the weather and wear sun protection as there isn’t much shade at the colony site. Register below to let us know you are coming!
