It was a beautiful day for the annual Holly Springs Wild About Nature festival, where SWC has participated for many years (formerly known as Turtle Fest and Bass Lake Day). Everyone dodged the cicadas that were all around and had a good time! We continued our 2024 theme of NC Mammals, with display materials and activities for the kids, including animal track identification, animal sounds matching, and fox puppet crafts. We hope some of the families that visited our booth will continue to follow our activities online and join us in the future, Many thanks to Jeff, Katie, Bob, and Regan for volunteering to make this another successful public engagement for conservation in our local community!
