Can you help? We need 3-4 SWC volunteers to help with our exhibit at Mud Day at the Walnut Creek Wetland Center in Raleigh on Aug. 17th. The event runs 10 AM-1 PM, and setup begins at 9 AM. SWC has a partnership with this amazing wetland center (part of Raleigh Parks and Rec), and we are excited to participate in their annual event again this year, which is a lot of fun for kids and adults alike!
Public outreach is an important part of our conservation mission. You will help kids with fun activities, chat with visitors about our exhibit and our chapter, and challenge folks with our ever-popular Q&A board. Everything is provided and ready to go, so we just need help with setup and engaging visitors to our exhibit. If you would like to help, please reach out to Monty Moree.
