Last Meeting of the Year! NC Natural Heritage Program & Natural Area Conservation

Join NCWF South Wake Conservationists Chapter on Thursday, Dec. 5th at 7 PM, for an overview of the North Carolina Natural Heritage Program! Speaker Scott Pohlman will discuss how the NCNHP helps provide information to guide conservation in North Carolina, including working with partners to establish nature preserves. Our speaker will provide examples of significant natural resource values associated with Wake County natural areas.

Believe it or not, we are approaching the end of 2024, and this is our last meeting of the year! If you are in the area, please come in person to the meeting at the beautiful conference facility at Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs. It is always nice to get together with fellow wildlife and habitat conservation enthusiasts, welcome new folks, and have a nice evening together. The presentation is followed by time to socialize, with refreshments provided, and people always look forward to the raffle, with some great nature-oriented prizes.

If you are not in the Raleigh area, we also enjoy having remote participants join via our live webcast. Questions for the speaker are taken via online chat, as well as in the room.

Join us for some uplifting discussion about good things that are being done to support our natural world, before the holiday activities get into full swing. Be sure to register below.
