You are invited to join the leadership team at South Wake Conservationists!

Each year, certain positions rotate off, and new members are encouraged step up to help with planning and guiding the goals and activities of the chapter. This year, three positions are opening up for the next two-year term, and we would love to hear from you, if you might like to take a turn at this.

We meet in person as a leadership team quarterly, and there is always a fun social time, after we work through the planning discussions. SWC is led by the various committees on a day-to-day basis, and we spend most of our time out in the field doing conservation work, field trips, working with kids, public education, and more. The leadership team is the glue between all the various committees and activities.

Nominees will be elected/ratified for these new terms at the March chapter meeting, and we are accepting nominations between now and March 1st. Feel free to nominate yourself, if you would like to volunteer, or nominate another person after confirming they are interested. Please send your nominations to info@southwakeconservationists.org.

Positions available March 2025:

  • Vice President – assist and fill in for President as needed
  • Treasurer – maintain financials for the chapter
  • Board Member at-Large – participate in board dialogue and decisions
