Love birds? Want to contribute to real scientific research?
Join SWC on February 15th, 2025 from 9:00-11:00AM at Apex Community Park (2200 Laura Duncan Rd, Apex, NC 27523) for a leisurely birding walk and help us gather valuable data for local bird populations! We will meet in the playground/tennis court parking lot near the picnic shelter. Plan to dress for the weather and bring binoculars if you have them, but not essential!
Here’s why you should come:
- Learn from an Experienced Birder: Jeremy, a local Wake Co. birder, will guide the group and share not only his birding knowledge, but also how to use and create an eBird checklist.
- Discover local birds: Explore the diverse birdlife in our area.
- Contribute to science: Your observations will help scientists track bird populations and understand their habitats.
- Enjoy nature: Relax and connect with nature while enjoying the company of other nature and wildlife enthusiasts.
No experience necessary! All ages and skill levels are welcome.
