Earth Day and Arbor Day were celebrated together at Raleigh’s Dorothea Dix Park on Friday afternoon and evening, April 25th. SWC joined over 30 exhibitors for this nature-themed event, engaging with people about the chapter, the Save our Sounds campaign, and testing everyone’s knowledge of nature with our popular Q&A board. The kids made butterfly fans, played a habitat game, and learned about frogs, their lifecycle, and their unique sounds. Then a Dixieland jazz parade marched through, adding to the festive atmosphere. Note: Our first visitor was a golden retriever.

Many thanks to all who helped with this one, including Ron and Cindy, Yasmine, Tyler, Dave and Cissy, Sara, Wendy, Kara, and of course Jeff! It takes a team to make this work.
