Debra Quinlan
Board Member at Large
The SWC Board has been looking for someone to take Dave Barber’s place as an At-Large Board Member, completing his term through March, 2026, since he was appointed to the VP role at the last board meeting. We are pleased to announce that Debra Quinlan has been offered this role by the board and has accepted the position, effective immediately.
Debra lives in Holly Springs, works as a Lead Product Manager in the telecommunications industry, has four children in middle and high school, and is eager to get very active with our chapter. Her degree is in Wildlife Ecology, and she has a passion for native plants. She also volunteers with the Turtle Rescue Team. Her desire is to get back to her roots in wildlife ecology, and she would like to do that with SWC. She is also a graduate of our recent Habitat Stewards class at Yates Mill County Park.
In addition, Debra has already offered to take the lead as chair of the Garden for Wildlife Committee, carrying on the great work that John Kinsella established. This is a very active role in our chapter, and we welcome her leadership in this area. Watch for upcoming volunteer activities with pollinator gardens and tree planting events.
Please welcome Debra to our team!
