South Wake Area Native Ecosystems Conservation, SWANEC, a passionate group of local high school students committed to “eliminating invasive plant species in Southern Wake County and to support the stabilization of native plant populations,” have invited us to assist them in removing invasives from Apex Community Park. These students did a yeoman’s job for us removing trash from the Walnut Creek Wetlands Center last month, and it would be great if we could help them out with this project. Their hard work and enthusiasm for conservation is contagious (check out their website).
