Kids in Nature Day Oct. 4th!

Kids in Nature Day is back for the fourth year in row! We have moved it from the traditional May date to the fall this year, so the weather should be nice, and as always, this event is free. All kids and families are welcome.

Connecting kids with nature through fun, interactive, and hands-on activities

Attended by hundreds of area children and parents the past three years, Kids in Nature Day 2025 promises to be even bigger and better this year.  We will have a number of live animal exhibits, including the very popular birds-of-prey, as well as over twenty-five different interactive and fun nature-oriented activity stations, a whimsical musician onsite, activity cards with prizes, food trucks, and Ranger Rick character interacting with the kids.  Walk down the paths along the field, through the woods, and down by the lake to discover the many different activities with plenty of space to not feel crowded.  And have fun!
