This was SWC’s first Wildlife Trivia Night, and based on the popular response, with over 60 people participating, we’ll definitely do this again! Held at the Black Dog Bottle Shop in Holly Springs, Jennifer and Katie put together a fun, yet challenging, series of wildlife questions in six categories: Mammals, Birds, Under the Sea, Reptiles & Amphibians, North Carolina, and Animal Sounds. Naomi welcomed folks at the door and shared our SWC display table with complimentary snacks. Kara helped tabulate the team scores, and we ended up with two teams tied for first place, plus runners-up.
We hope the folks that came will join us for some of our conservation work and other activities in the coming months. In addition to the team prizes, everyone left with an official NCWF pollinator seed mix package to plant. It was great getting to meet everyone!
