Great Southeast Pollinator Census at Simple Gifts Community Garden – Sat., Aug. 23

Stop by the Simple Gifts Community Garden in Apex at 3109 Tingen Rd., Apex. NC tomorrow morning, Sat., Aug, 23, anytime between 8 AM and 12 Noon to count pollinators at the garden’s beautiful pollinator gardens. This is citizen science at it’s best! The garden is full of blooms with everything from sunflowers and tithonia to zinnias, milkweed, blazing stars, and many other pollinator favorites. We will have the census sheets and the guides for you, so pick your favorites flowers to monitor for just 15 minutes and tally the results of what you observed. The plants are all labeled, so you know what they are.

The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia, with participation open to anyone in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, and Florida.
