New Committee Announcement

Wildlife Gardens & Habitats Committee

A new committee is born! The team has decided to combine the original Garden for Wildlife and Wildlife Habitat committees under the joint leadership of Sara Donohoe and Debra Quinlan. There is a great deal of syergy between these activities in both of these areas, and the SWC interest survey results have shown that most people that are interested in working with one are interested in both.

Sara and Debra will be announcing an interest meeting sometime in January to bring together everyone that would like to learn more, partcipate, and in some cases help lead projects in this area. Please watch your email and this website for that announced date and time. What a great way to start the new year! There are many opportunities ahead to establish more native plantings and meadows, tree plantings, and all kinds of structures to support local wildlife, like birdhouses, owl houses, hibernaculums, and more.

Many thanks to Sara and Debra for taking this important initiative to the next level!

Check out all of our committees on this committees page and reach out to Monty Morée, if you are interested in taking on one of the other committee positions that are currently open. You are also invited to contact any of the committee leads listed to learn more about any specific area and how you can get involved.
