Volunteers Needed for the SWC Exhibit at Beech Bluff Blast Mar. 21st

Beech Bluff Blast promo

SWC is back again for the second year, celebrating nature at Wake County’s newest park!

We are seeking a few volunteers to assist with our exhibit, helping setup or break down the exhibit and engaging with both kids and adults during the event with our exhibit and activities. Our theme this year is Wildlife Habitat. Come for the first shift, the second shift, or both!

This 300 acre park includes four miles of trails that wind around the park, with one path that leads to a wildlife viewing deck overlooking Middle Creek, as well as a “canopy walk,” open space, a community garden, and a Park Center building featuring exhibits and classrooms. SWC was part of the original site preparation a few years ago, helping remove hundreds of tires from “tire mountain” and is glad to see this park emerge as a great natural space in the southern part of Wake County.
