Interactive Nature Activities at Marbles Kids Museum

On Saturday, June 12, 12:00-2:30 PM, South Wake Conservationists will be joining NC State Parks and several other conservation and outdoor recreation organizations to hold fun, interactive activities for kids 10 and under at the Marbles Kids Museum, 201 E Hargett St, Raleigh, NC. This is part of a special “Outdoors and Nature” overlay during the month of June to the museum’s regular exhibits . Play your way through the museum by camping and kayaking at the Hit the Trail exhibit and then stopping at the ranger station in River Playway. Following those adventures, paddle your way through the roaring rapids learning about animals in the wild then continue making your way to the art loft to design backpack and water bottle bling. Then be sure to visit the South Wake Conservationists activity center for some fun nature activities. There is also a special showing of the new documentary Into the Wild 3D, narrated by Morgan Freeman, in the adjacent IMAX theater.
