What a beautiful day for a festival! Our Community Engagement and Eco Kids Committees had a great time engaging with kids and adults in the Holly Springs area at this fun annual festival held at Sugg Farm, with sunny skies and temps in the low eighties. There were lines of eager children formed to get to the various activities we offered, including bee hotel builds, butterfly fan construction and coloring, pollinator matching board, frog facts board, and 20 questions about animals and plants in NC. Plus pollinator seed packets and nature-print bags for donations. We had a dedicated crew of member volunteers working the stations, and everyone had a great time.
Watch for upcoming events, including other local festivals we will participate in, local nature hikes, and our very own a planned Kids in Nature Day next Spring in conjunction with the Triangle Land Conservancy at the Williamson Nature Preserve. Be sure to subscribe at the bottom of this web page to receive notices of upcoming events.
Looks like you all had a great time and great turnout!
