This month, we are featuring a focus on amphibians, with guest speaker Rebecca Skiba, Coastal Regional Education Specialist, NC Wildlife Resources Commission. All are welcome to come to our online chapter meeting on Thursday, June 2 at 7:00 PM.
Learn about the diversity of frog, toad and salamander species in our great state, as well as the conservation threats facing them. Our biologists work hard surveying, protecting and restoring wetlands, managing prescribed burn schedules and studying many other biological aspects of amphibian lives. Learning your role in helping our thin-skinned friends goes a long way towards providing a bright future for them. Citizen science programs will also be introduced for those that are interested in taking a more active role in conservation.
