Please Join Us on October 22 As We Team Up With Youths to Enhance Pollinator Gardens!

Please join the South Wake Conservationists on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. for a special gardening experience! We will be teaming up with a non-profit titled “Cooking Up Character” to enhance two pollinator gardens at Crowder County Park. “Cooking Up Character” works with youths in various endeavors to help develop their leadership skills! Crowder Park is located at 4709 Ten-Ten Road, Apex NC. Please bring water and something to kneel on. Tools will be provided. We will conclude at noon. Please register below!

You know that fall is just around the corner when the beautiful narrow leaf sunflowers are in bloom. I often associate these flowers with the opening of the NC State Fair for they are a focal point there. We look forward to supplementing these plants with others to both draw in pollinators and to provide an attractive garden for people visiting the park.
