Kids of all ages are invited to South Wake Conservationists’ second annual Kids in Nature Day! This is the premier free event of our Eco Kids Program, connecting kids with nature through a wide variety of fun, interactive, and hands-on activities. Attended by more than 160 area children and parents last year (click here for highlights), Kids in Nature Day 2023 promises to be even bigger and better this year, anticipating over 250 kids!
There will be twenty different activity centers, including live animals, pond exploration, nature crafts, scavenger hunts, and much more! Ranger Rick will be there to greet the kids, there will be fanciful music, and fresh-cooked food will be available onsite.
Last year’s attendees responded to a post-event poll with 100% saying they would like to come back again! “My kids LOVED spending the afternoon there, they had so much fun, I honestly thought we’d be in/out relatively quickly, but we arrived right at opening and left (at close of the event) at 4:30.”
