On August 30, 2024 seven South Wake Conservationists took on the formidable task of removing “a ton of weeds” from the Bass Lake Park pollinator garden. After an extended summer draught, the recent rains produced a bountiful quantity of weeds. The group was accompanied by Kara Solomon, the North Carolina Wildlife Federation’s recently-hired Conservation Coordinator. Kara jumped right in and was a very welcome addition!
