I am pleased to announce that the Board of Directors has unanimously approved appointing David Barber to the position of Vice President. He follows our long-standing Vice President, John Kinsella, who passed away last month and leaves a large legacy. Dave will complete this term through March, 2027.
Dave has been a very active member of the South Wake Conservationists for a number of years and was elected as a Board Member at Large last year. He also chairs the Community Partnerships Committee, liaising with local parks and non-profits, as well as leading invasive plant removal and trash pickup projects.
Per the bylaws, this position is described as follows:
The Vice President shall assist the President in performance of his or her duties when he or she so designates. In the absence of the President, the Vice President shall preside.
