- Event: Great Backyard Bird Count
- Dates: Feb. 13-16
- Location: Your backyard!
In just 15 minutes (more if you like) you can capture all the birds you see in your backyard and share them with a world-wide database as part of the Great Backyard Bird Count! Co-sponsored by the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, the National Audubon Society, and Birds Canada this is a fun citizen science event shared by wildlife lovers around the world. And it provides critical information to scientists about bird population trends.
Identify them, count them, and submit your counts to help scientists better understand and protect birds around the world. If you already use eBird or Merlin, your submissions over the 4 days count toward GBBC.
