An important urban forestry program is coming before the Raleigh City Council on Tuesday, March 17th, and we need YOU to show up in support!

The Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department will be presenting their “Leaf Out” campaign, a city-wide initiative to protect, expand, and steward Raleigh’s urban tree canopy and natural spaces. The ambitious goal of this program is to plant 24,000 trees by 2032 in celebration of Raleigh’s 240th anniversary. The objective is to see these trees planted all over Raleigh: on public land, on right-of-way, and by residents on their own properties.

We need your support to show City Council that this program is worth funding. Join us on March 17th and wear green so that city officials will see that there is a broader movement behind this program. Come show your support and get a fun, free sticker!
