Please join us for an invasive removal assist with ReWild NC; Monday August 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm

  • Mingo Creek Trail; 2001 Widewaters Pkwy, Knightdale, NC 27545
  • Monday August 17, 2026 at 3:00 pm

We will meet at the end of Wide Waters Parkway, where we will take a short walk to the trail. ReWild will provide your equipment, including daubers, but please feel free to bring your own. The work will mostly involve privet and will be off trail, in a flood plain.  So, you will need to wear boots and take a walking stick if you like. As always, when removing invasives, it is recommended to wear long sleeves and pants.

The project will be led by Steven Feurstein the founder of ReWild NC. Rewild’s objective “is to make it possible for humans to help the non-humans in NC and by extension the earth to heal itself”. The group is passionate about this work and have an event at least 5 times a week, including summer. They are incredibly experienced.  It is both an educational and joyful experience to work with them! They also have a dauber exchange program, where a participant can get a dauber and 6 future exchanges. For more information please check out their website at ReWild NC.

Looking forward to seeing you there!
