Pollinator Garden Workdays

Join the SWC pollinator garden crew for some good, healthy outdoor garden work

South Wake Conservationists’ (SWC) volunteers have planted three native pollinator gardens this last Spring in the Triangle area – Lincoln Heights Elementary School, Fuquay-Varina, NC; Millbrook Elementary School, Raleigh, NC and at the Big Lake in William B. Unstead State Park, Raleigh, NC. Join SWC to help keep the native plants thriving to provide the nectar and pollen for the beneficial insects that are important for the production of our food. The workdays are 9 – 11 am on Mondays and Fridays for the remainder of September and October. You can volunteer for any of these days, just indicate in the RSVP which day or days that you’ll be coming. Work will basically consist of planting, weeding, mulching and watering. Bring drinking water, gardening attire, sunscreen and something to kneel on. Masks will be required. Tools will be provided or you can bring your own. RSVP below and we’ll email you with specific directions to the garden and answer any questions you may entered in the Other Details below.
