We Built the Wall (for the Pollinators, that is)!

Volunteers at the Bass Lake Park garden workday

After today’s impromptu workday, we are one step closer to establishing an educational Native Shade Plant Demonstration Garden at Bass Lake Park. Getting some basic infrastructure tasks out of the way ahead of schedule will make the two upcoming workdays go a little smoother. Invasive trees (both a large Princess tree and a Mimosa tree) were removed earlier, and a new retaining wall was built today, so soil cleanup, leveling, planting ~200 plants, and mulching are next on the agenda. See our prior post to signup for the next couple of Saturday mornings!
