Fighting to protect wildlife and the natural environment . . . Join us for this special webinar to learn about the important work the Southern Environmental Law Center is doing across the southern United States. The Southern Environmental Law Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit with more than 35 years of experience taking on the toughest environmental challenges in court, in government, and in our communities. SELC has long advocated for Southern wildlife on behalf of a wide variety of local, regional, and national groups. SELC’s mission is to:

  • Protect the basic right to clean air, clean water, and a livable climate
  • Preserve our region’s natural treasures and rich biodiversity
  • Provide a healthy environment for all

Liz Rasheed is a senior associate attorney with SELC’s Chapel Hill office who has focused her practice on defending wildlife, including through litigation under the Endangered Species Act and other federal laws. Liz’s presentation will include an introduction to SELC’s Wildlife Program and a discussion of her work protecting endangered red wolves and red-cockaded woodpeckers.
