Eco Kids – Explore a Pond!

Kids exploring a pond

Kids & families – Please join us on Saturday, Aug. 27th, from 9 AM-11 AM as we reprise our popular pond exploration activity, which was a big hit at Kids in Nature Day in May. We will get samples from the pond edge to discover amazing insect larvae, macro-invertebrates, amphibians, and other pond life. We will also look for various waterfowl that may be at the pond that morning and talk about the importance of clean water for a healthy pond ecosystem.

We will hold this event at the NC Museum of Art Park in Raleigh, which has a large pond rich in wildlife in a beautiful natural setting. There is a lot to discover. Let’s see what we can find! Register below to hold your spot, and you will receive an email with details for the event.

We are pleased to have you join us and look forward to seeing you!

DONATIONS: If you would like to make an optional donation, please click here (designate “South Wake Conservationists” as your chapter).

South Wake Conservationists and the NC Wildlife Federation are able to support conservation activities and programs like this at no cost, thanks to the partnership and kind investments of people like you. Thank you!
