On November 04, 2022 South Wake Conservationists teamed up with the North Carolina Wildlife Federation, Wake County Parks and Recreation and the “Open Space” organization to perform a large litter sweep. The sweep occurred at the proposed site of Beach Bluffs County Park in Willow Springs, NC! Wake County hopes to open the park to the public in 2024! This is the second litter sweep performed at the site. Additional sweeps will be forthcoming! A huge amount of litter was removed, including 139 tires of various sizes! Enjoy the photos!

Talk about being tired at the end of the day, but it was worth the effort to pick away at the discards that had accumulated over the years.
