Giving the Pollinator Plants Some Breathing Room at Millbrook Elementary

SWC visited Millbrook Elementary School, one of our seven pollinator gardens, this morning (Nov. 2) to tackle the weeds encroaching on the pollinator plants. John led the team, as we triaged the good from the bad (mainly Bermuda grass!) and restored the natural beauty of the beds. Thanks to Bob, Regan, Chad, Bill, Ray, and Dawn, as they joined John and me to get the job done. In addition, Chad and John re-installed two bluebird houses that had been displaced by construction.

Here is a tiny snake we came across this morning, which is either a ring-necked snake or a rough-earth snake.

And a final farewell to the season from one of the asters.
