See birds in a whole new way!

Have you ever wondered what it takes to conserve some of the world’s rarest birds? Did you know that the Sylvan Heights Bird Park is the largest bird park in North America? Find out more this Thursday, May 4th at 7PM as the South Wake Conservationists welcome Dustin Foote for an online presentation.

Dustin is the Director of Aviculture and resident falconer at Sylvan Heights Bird Park and is responsible for overseeing the park’s living collection. He has a B.S. from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from East Carolina University. His research focuses on avian conservation genetics. He will be presenting on several of Sylvan Height’s conservation projects, including flamingos in Bolivia and mergansers in Brazil along with North American hummingbirds and White-winged Ducks.
