Katie tells a powerful story of how a group of third graders at Pine Springs Preparatory Academy in Holly Springs have motivated 17 mayors (so far!) to sign the NWF Mayor’s Monarch Pledge, committing to specific requirements of their municipalities to adopt a variety of wildlife-friendly practices. This year, they have expanded to their reach beyond Wake County to Georgia, Texas, and even Canada! You will also enjoy seeing two film shorts produced by the kids promoting protecting pollinators.
