Plant Aquatic Plants and Help Weed the Native Plants Garden at Bass Lake

We need some habitat volunteers next Saturday! The native plant garden at Bass Lake Park is definitely in need of some TLC (weeding), so let’s keep our demonstration garden in good shape. In addition, we are going to plant some aquatic plants along the shore of Bass Lake, which will be a good way to keep our hands cool! We will plant pickerel weed in the shallow water along the lake edge, as well as a number of button bushes, which many will remember was one of John’s favorites.

Debra Quinlan is our new leader for SWC’s Garden for Wildlife committee and will be organizing the activities and supplies for this event, working with with Kara from NCWF. Bring garden gloves, rubber boots, water, and enthusiasm for native plants!

Please be sure to register below, so we know who to expect.
