South Wake Conservationists

April 23, 2026 between 9:00am – 11:00am at Carol H Johnson Environmental Education Park, 301 Wagstaff Rd; Fuquay-Varina, 27526

We’re asking for volunteers for our third ‘invasion’ on invasives in this incredible park full of numerous species of plants, birds and animals that are being choked out by privette, bradford pears and other unwelcome plants. It’s always rewarding and educational to work side by side with fellow conservationists with similar goals. All equipment will be provided, but please wear long sleeved shirts, long pants and hiking boots. Last chance to work in the forest before the insects and heat arrive!
