Celebrate Earth Day in Apex
SWC is back again for our third year celebrating Earth Day at Apex’s Earthfest! Apex (the state’s fastest-growing city) is committed to protecting its natural resources with its Sustainability Action Plan to reduce carbon footprints, manage waste, and protect natural habitats. We will be sharing our local wildlife and habitat conservation message and opportunities with the community, including a focus on wildlife habitat information and nature-based fun activities for the kids.
We are seeking a few volunteers to assist with our exhibit, helping setup or break down the exhibit and engaging with both kids and adults during the event with our exhibit and activities. The exhibit materials are all assembled and ready to go. Our theme this year is Wildlife Habitat. Come for the first shift, the second shift, or both!
We need at least three volunters for each shift to make it all go smoothly. These events are always fun and it is rewarding to engage directly with the local community. Won’t you join us?
