South Wake Conservationists Clean Up the Upper little River Watershed!

On May 16, 2021 six members of the South Wake Conservationists collected 450 pounds of litter along the roadways of the Upper Little River watershed in Lillington, NC. The collection was part of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation’s Trees4Trash initiative. Among the items collected were several tires, metal bed springs and mattresses!

Street Cleanup and Pollinator Garden Maintenance

South Wake Conservationists Participate in Lake Raleigh Litter Sweep!

On May 1, 2021 the South Wake Conservationists teamed up with North Carolina State University to conduct a litter sweep of Lake Raleigh, which is located on NCSU’s Centennial Campus. Participants collected litter on relevant greenways, forested areas and along the lake shore (using canoes). A total of 300 pounds of trash was collected!
