On February 25, 2023 16 conservationists conducted a highly productive litter sweep of the Cape Fear watershed in Lillington, NC! The group collected 804 pounds of litter, which will not be swept into the Cape Fear River! The sweep was organized by the South Wake Conservationists in concert with the North Carolina Wildlife Federation.

On May 24, 2021, four members of the South Wake Conservationists (SWC) collected 75 pounds of trash and also worked on the pollinator garden at Lincoln Heights Magnet School in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. SWC members planted a few small pollinator plants, added considerable compost to the garden and performed various weeding chores.
On April 26, 2021 four members of South Wake Conservationists and North Carolina Wildlife Federation collected 378 pounds of trash along Raleigh’s Falls Lake shoreline!
