Spreading the Wildlife Word at Tiger Fest

Kids visiting SWC exhibit

SWC engaged with kids at Lincoln Heights Elementary School in Fuquay Varina at their annual Tiger Fest on May 12th. This was our second year being invited to this fun event at the environmental connections magnet school, with hundreds of kids having a great time while learning about the many sides of nature and the great outdoors. We shared a display about mammals in NC, as well as an array of plaster casts of various animal tracks and a game to match the sounds of different animals with their names and pictures. The weather was nice, but quite breezy, until just before closing time, when a big squall came through and sent everyone packing!
