New Bern Avenue Cleanup!

On June 19,2021 the North Carolina Wildlife Federation (including 4 members of the South Wake Conservationists) teamed up with the Great Raleigh Cleanup Group and local resident Gus Vandermeeren to collect over 900 pounds of trash near New Bern Avenue in Raleigh! Approximately 30 volunteers participated in this highly successful initiative!

On June 2, 2021 four dedicated members of South Wake Conservationists collected approximately 567 pounds of litter from the waters of the Apollo Heights section of the Walnut Creek Greenway in Raleigh, NC. South Wake Conservationists Collect Trash and Enhance a Pollinator Garden!

On May 24, 2021, four members of the South Wake Conservationists (SWC) collected 75 pounds of trash and also worked on the pollinator garden at Lincoln Heights Magnet School in Fuquay-Varina, North Carolina. SWC members planted a few small pollinator plants, added considerable compost to the garden and performed various weeding chores.
